1.- General Provisions
Article 1.
This regulation is of interest to the entire community of Tecnológico de Monterrey, PrepaTec, Graduate Schools, and Collaboration HUBs. It is generally observed by anyone who enters by vehicle and uses any of the parking lots.
Article 2.
This regulation aims to establish the standard for access, use, and vehicular traffic within the parking lots and preserve, maintain, and keep order within them.
For the requirements of access to the designated and established parking areas within the different premises for the entire community of Tecnológico de Monterrey, PrepaTec, Graduate Schools, and Collaboration HUBs, they are intended for the exclusive use of the student community, teachers, employees, and part-time for parents, suppliers, and visitors. It is essential to respect the assigned parking space; otherwise, you will be subject to the sanction indicated in Article 32 as appropriate.
Article 3.
Tecnológico de Monterrey, PrepaTec, Graduate Schools, and Employee HUBs, through the Mobility and ProTect Security areas, reserve the right to close and/or restrict access to the premises' parking lots at any time.
Article 4.
Every vehicle must be parked in reverse. In this way, in the event of an emergency exit, the evacuation will be faster, more effective, and, above all, safe.
Article 5.- PERMITTED VEHICLES
The vehicles allowed to enter and drive within the parking lots will be the following:
a) Motorcycles
b) Car or pick up with single wheelbase.
Article 6. SPEED LIMIT
The maximum speed limit within the parking lots will be 10 km/h.
Article 7. TRAFFIC SIGNS
The marks on the pavement and the signs placed, temporarily or permanently, must be respected at all times. Those users who are caught driving in the opposite direction to the signaling shall be subject to the sanction indicated in Article 32, as applicable.
Article 8. EXCLUSIVE FOR PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES
Only users with a permission issued by the competent authority in these cases may use the spaces with the legend or iconography "Disabled." Those who have permission issued by the Mobility area with the support of the TECMed Center by TecSalud of Tecnológico de Monterrey, PrepaTec, Graduate Schools, and Collaboration HUBs may also use them. Any person caught with altered permission and/or simulated disability will be sanctioned with the withdrawal of the permit and the denial of access to the parking lot, in addition to applying the corresponding rules.
Article 9. EXCLUSIVE
It is forbidden to park in those places that have the denomination or signage of exclusive in their different legends or signals: "Loading zone," "Electric chargers zone," "Motorcycle," "Bicycle," "CarpoolTec (carpooling)," "Visitor," "Disabled," "Temporary support," "Pregnancy," "Official vehicle" or "Electric vehicle for charging," being used only by authorized personnel through the Mobility area and/or complying with the rules established for the intended use.
Article 10.- PyMF
The rules for the proper use of the spaces designated as PyMF are:
- These spaces will be used for admissions processes, scheduled appointments, and information from the institution.
- The vehicle will not be allowed to remain in the space for more than 2 hours.
- Employees who are Parents and Family should use their assigned parking as an employee.
- For the days when sports events, cultural events, graduation ceremonies, or other special activities are celebrated, the use of the spaces for PyMF who attend these events will not be allowed; they should park in the place assigned for the event.

Article 11. VEHICLE ASSISTANCE.
The user will have within the facilities the vehicle assistance service (subject to availability), which consists of receiving free assistance in the following cases:
- Vehicle battery discharged.
- Tires without air to roll.
- Call to the tow truck service.
If you require any of these services, you can request it from the PROTECT Security officer on duty in the parking lot or the Tec Emergency phone (Annex 1 Emergency line directory).
Article 12. STAY IN THE VEHICLE.
Each person will be allowed to remain in their vehicle during the necessary time to park it or enter/exit the parking lot. (10 minutes).
Similarly, it is prohibited to carry out commercial, immoral, or illicit activity inside the parking lot, consumption of alcoholic beverages or drugs, harassment, or annoyances.
Those users caught in any of these activities will be liable to the sanction indicated in Article 31 as appropriate.
Article 13. UNAUTHORIZED OVERNIGHT STAY OF VEHICLES IN THE PARKING LOT
The stay of any user's vehicle for a period equal to or greater than one night is not authorized, except for those authorized by the Mobility and PROTECT Security areas. If the user is a student, the overnight stay should be 6:00 hours the next day, except for those authorized by the Mobility and PROTECT Security areas.
Article 14. ACTS THAT DISTORT.
All acts that distort or tend to distort order, damage property, or injure the rights of people, go against good customs, violate the provisions of other guidelines or regulations in force at Tecnológico de Monterrey, PrepaTec, and Graduate Schools and Collaboration HUBs, and obstruct or prevent the use of goods or services that the institution uses or provides, will be considered as faults to this regulation.
Those users who are caught committing these acts will be liable to the sanction indicated in Article 31 as appropriate.
Article 15. DISCRIMINATION IS NOT ALLOWED.
No act that violates, denigrates, discriminates, or violates the integrity of the people who are ensuring the community's security in the parking space will be allowed, understood by this security personnel, support personnel, volunteers, and authorities of the institution..
Article 16. ENTRY WITH RISK
It is prohibited to enter Tecnológico de Monterrey for any person whose driving represents a risk to the integrity of the community members.
Because it is detected with alcoholic breath, under the influence of some enervating or narcotic substance, or any inappropriate driving ("drag racing," tops, competitions, excessive noise, reckless driving, among others).
Article 17. VEHICLE REVIEW.
Tecnológico de Monterrey, PrepaTec, Graduate Schools, and Collaboration HUBs reserve the right to review trunks and interiors of vehicles that are within their facilities; this will be done by PROTECT Security personnel in the presence of the owner or driver when deemed necessary.
Article 18. INCORRECT USE OF THE TECHNOLOGICAL PROGRAM FORMAT AND/OR CARPOOLING.
In case of misuse of the Technological Program Format and/or Carpooling (duplicate, forge, lend, etc.), the sanctions will be adjusted to the provisions indicated in this document, according to Article 31.
Article 19. IN CASE OF LOSS OR THEFT OF THE TECHNOLOGICAL PROGRAM FORMAT AND/OR CARPOOLING.
It should be reported to security immediately for replacement.
Article 20. AREAS NOT MARKED AS SPACES.
It is forbidden to park in areas not delineated as spaces; likewise, occupying more than one space to park, invading corners, circulation lanes or walkers, and other spaces not stipulated in this regulation.
Article 21. INCORRECT USE OF THE PARKING TAG.
The tag is assigned to the individual (Students, Tec Family, Professors, and Employees) and not the vehicle. In case of tag misuse such as duplicate, forge, lend, and other cases not provided for in this regulation, the sanctions will be adjusted to the provisions indicated in this document, according to Article 31. This applies to campuses that still have this operating model.
Article 22. UNCOVERED USE SCHEDULE.
The user will not be able to use the assigned parking with prior notice during the realization of some extraordinary event, such as institutional events, maintenance, concerts and external events, and other cases not provided for in this regulation.
Article 23. IN CASE OF LOSS OR THEFT.
It should be reported to the Mobility area immediately to start the corresponding process.
Article 24. THEFTS AND DAMAGES.
The user accepts and acknowledges that Tecnológico de Monterrey, PrepaTec, Graduate Schools, and Collaboration HUBs are not responsible for the following situations:
- Total or partial theft of the vehicle or theft of goods left inside.
- Mechanical and/or electrical damage of any kind and fire caused by any mechanical and/or electrical failure of the vehicle.
- Damage suffered in vehicles due to earthquakes or tremors, fires, popular riots, or any other foreign to the institution.
- Damages caused to third parties and/or by third parties.
The user expressly releases Tecnológico de Monterrey, PrepaTec, Graduate Schools, and Collaboration HUBs from all responsibility derived from using the parking lots.
Article 25. ECONOMIC RESPONSIBILITY.
It will be the individuals' economic and legal responsibility for the damage they cause to the facilities of Tecnológico de Monterrey or other individuals with their vehicles.
Article 26. CIRCULATION.
It is not allowed to travel in the opposite direction, as well as in reverse, except for cases to enter or exit parking spaces. Users caught under these criteria will be liable for the sanction indicated in Article 32.
Article 27. RISK PRACTICES.
It is not allowed to receive and give driving lessons, carry out driving practices in the headquarters' facilities, or use skateboards, skates, or scooters on internal roads and parking areas.
Article 28. ENTRY ON MOTORCYCLE OR BICYCLE.
People who enter Tecnológico de Monterrey who use bicycles or motorcycles as a means of transport must leave them in the designated parking area. Bicycles or motorcycles may not circulate on sidewalks or pedestrian places. Bicycles must have some security device (chain, lock, etc.).
Those motorcycles or bicycles caught without a security device will be guarded by the ProTec team and must show official identification for their return.
Article 29. STAY OF DRIVERS OR SECURITY MEMBERS.
Access to escorts, security teams, and/or those using the facilities is prohibited. Any specific request must be through the ProTec Security area.
Article 30. AUTHORITY.
For the application of this regulation, Tecnológico de Monterrey, PrepaTec Monterrey, Graduate Schools, and Collaboration HUBs are represented by the ProTect Security area. The ProTect Security officer has the power to carry out the following actions:
- Allow or deny access to a parking lot.
- Request identification from the user and/or information required for their access.
- Request that the user relocate their vehicle.
- Request that the user remove their vehicle from the parking lot.
Article 31. SPECIAL EVENTS.
For the days when sports events, cultural events, graduation ceremonies, or other special activities are celebrated, additional security measures will be taken, so the parking lot to which only the attendees of the scheduled event will have access will be selected, and the attendees must comply with and respect the indications of the Security officer (ProTect) at all times; otherwise, users will be asked to leave the facilities. If the authority on duty mentions that there are no spaces available, they should park in the surrounding areas
Article 32. VIOLATION OF THE REGULATION.
Any person who violates this regulation will be liable to the following sanctions.
Students:
- First occasion: verbal and written warning, and registration in the database.
- Second occasion: written warning with a copy to the Career Direction and Student Conduct of Leadership and Student Formation.
- Third occasion: sanction through Student Conduct of Leadership and Student Formation and if applicable the corresponding sanction determined in Article 32.
- Professors and Employees:
- First occasion: verbal and written warning, and registration in the database.
- Second occasion: written warning with a copy to the Leader and the Talent and Experience Direction.
- Third occasion: sanction through the Talent and Experience Direction.
Note: the same sanctions will apply to any vehicle of any external user (who is not a student, tec family, professor, or employee), notifying the person on campus with whom they have contact of the violation of the regulation. Cases not provided for in this regulation will be determined by the Mobility area and, subsequently, be turned over to the corresponding areas.
Article 33.- SANCTIONS
a) It will be a reason for a fine of $1,000.00 MXN for those who park in spaces identified as "exclusive" to which they do not have access (understood as exclusive those identified as Disabled, Pregnancy, Temporary support, PyMF, Loading zone, Electric chargers zone, Motorcycle, Bicycle, CarpoolTec (carpooling), Visitor and Official vehicle). Once the fine has been imposed for the infraction, it will be charged to the student's account; if it is external to the institution, the offender will be prohibited from entering on future occasions.
b) It will be a reason for a fine of $500.00 MXN for those who violate Articles 7,19, and 25 of this regulation.
c) About electric vehicles and their exclusive charging spaces, the following will be a reason for a fine of $600.00 MXN:

Exceed by 1 minute the contracted charging time even if the vehicle is removed later from the charging area.

Exceed by 1 minute the contracted charging time and do not remove the vehicle from the charging area.

Occupy the charging area with an electric vehicle without having a contracted time.
d) Any user with 3 accumulated fines derived from any behaviors referred to in sections a, b, or c above within 6 months will be liable to suspend access to the parking lots for 6 months.
e) Since the extended stay of vehicles in the parking lots is prohibited, those that remain in the parking lot for more than 24 hours without the permission of the mobility area or the function in charge of the parking lot will be reported to the competent authorities and may be towed by the authorities to the corresponding impound lot.
Article 34. IGNORANCE OF THE REGULATION.
Compliance with this regulation is mandatory for all students, parents, employees, and visitors; therefore, their ignorance will not be a valid argument to avoid the corresponding sanctions.
