Article 1.
The guidelines established below are of interest to the entire Tec de Monterrey community and of general observance for all persons who enter in light vehicles and make use of parking lots or bike lanes, in order to regulate the use, circulation, and access for light vehicles within the institution.
Article 2.
Ignorance of these guidelines does not exempt the user from compliance with them or from the applicable penalties for non-compliance with them.
Article 3.
Tecnológico de Monterrey reserves the right to close and/or restrict access to the campus parking lots at any time.
Article 4.
The user accepts and acknowledges that Tecnológico de Monterrey is not responsible for the following:
- Total or partial theft.
- Theft of goods left in light vehicles.
- Damages, accidents, or injuries arising from its use.
- Mechanical damage of any kind.
- Damage caused to third parties and/or by third parties.
- Damage caused by earthquakes, landslides, fires, riots, vandalism, or any other event beyond the institution's control.
Article 5.
El usuario expresamente deslinda al Tecnológico de Monterrey de toda responsabilidad derivada del uso de los vehículos ligeros.
Article 6
The user accepts and acknowledges that Tecnológico de Monterrey is not responsible for the following:
- Total or partial theft.
- Theft of goods left in light vehicles.
- Damages, accidents, or injuries arising from its use.
- Mechanical damage of any kind.
- Damage caused to third parties and/or by third parties.
- Damage caused by earthquakes, landslides, fires, riots, vandalism, or any other event beyond the institution's control.
Article 7.
Yes, the light vehicle is private, the user must register it in Mobility, where they will be given a sticker and password (IDentificador), which must be pasted on the light vehicle, and a credential, both with an identification number to allow the exit of the institution, in addition to the signature of the letter of commitment, which mentions:
- Respect the established guidelines.
- Carry out the renewal of the identification on an annual basis.
- You agree that the light vehicle will be considered a donation (deregistered) from the institution, as it is in abandonment during an academic semester or intensive period.
- It is not possible for light vehicles to stay on the premises for a long time due to: holidays, summer or exchange.
The use of personal protective equipment is highly recommended for the use of light vehicles.
Article 8.
Private light vehicles must have the assigned sticker and their credential affixed when leaving the institution.
Article 9.
The BiciTecs are free and exclusive for use within the institution for students, teachers and collaborators, so it is forbidden to: extract them, keep them for exclusive use, chain them, or secure them in places for exclusive use.
Article 10.
Light vehicles must always be left in the designated parking lots.
Article 11.
In the case of people outside the institution (guests, courses, training, children, etc.) the use of the BiciTec is prohibited for reasons of
- Liability in cases referred to in Article 4, paragraphs (c) to (f).
- Safety.
- Respect and healthy coexistence that are not in line with institutional values.
- Ignorance of the regulations.
Article 12.
It is forbidden to leave light vehicles and BiciTec outside bicycle and skateboard parking lots (racks), corridors, circulation areas, and access points.
Article 13.
It is forbidden to circulate with any light vehicle or BiciTec through the corridors of the classrooms, inside the buildings, stairs and all those areas not mentioned that are not intended for that purpose, it is only allowed to circulate on the roads indicated for this purpose.
Article 14.
Respect and abide by the signage indicating the floor, horizontal and vertical, placed temporarily or permanently.
Article 15.
During time changes with a high pedestrian flow and at overpasses or slopes greater than 10%, the user of a light vehicle must get out of it and walk as a precaution and avoid accidents.
Article 16.
It is forbidden to use a cell phone or any attachment that contributes to distracted driving while driving and circulating in a light vehicle.
Article 17.
The following offences will be grounds for sanction:

Misuse of light vehicles.

Causing any damage to light vehicles or facilities.

Do stunts.
-
Do not place light vehicles in the assigned places.

Failure to respect pedestrian priority.

Driving off the roads and prohibited areas according to the signage.

Off-campus removal of institution-owned bicycles.
Article 18.
Any person who violates any of the guidelines will be subject to the following sanctions:
Students: (check if they align with parking regulations)

1st time: verbal reprimand and registration.

2nd occasion: written reprimand with a copy to the Directorate of Career and Student Conduct of Leadership and Student Training.

3rd time: sanction through Student Conduct of Leadership and Student Training.
Professors y Collaborators:
- 1st time: reprimand and turn to the Talent Directorate.
Note: the same penalties will be applicable to any light vehicle of any external user (other than a student, tech family, teacher or collaborator), notifying the person on campus with whom the contact or working relationship is made of the breach of the regulations. Cases not provided for in these regulations will be determined by the Mobility area and will subsequently be assigned to the corresponding areas.
